It all happened the same week.

Monday: The cleaning app I use reassigns my house to three different cleaners just hours before the scheduled arrival time. When someone finally shows up, she skips two whole bathrooms and leaves so much mess that I spend the next three hours re-cleaning my own house!

I hired help to make my life easier. Yet somehow, I ended up with more work. And I was still out a few hundred dollars!

Wednesday: It's just days before a two-week trip to Europe, and my pet sitter cancels.

Now, I am not just looking for someone to feed the cat and walk the dog. I am scrambling to find someone I trusted enough to stay in my home and take care of beloved members of my family while I am on another continent.

And I am thinking: Why is this so hard?!

We have an app for everything, but somehow finding reliable people to help take care of your home and pets still feels like a crapshoot.

The gig economy promised convenience. What it gave us was endless profiles, reviews from strangers, different unvetted people every time, cancellations, inconsistent quality, and one more thing to manage.

I didn't want another marketplace.

I wanted my people.

A trusted group of professionals who were fully vetted, trained, reliable, and held to the same high standard I expect of myself. People I could confidently hand my house key to. People who would know my home, know my animals, know how I like things done, and treat them all with the same care they would their own.

I couldn't find that company.

So I built it.
